Why do atheists claim Carl Sagan as one of their own?

Atheists are empty people who do not want to believe in a God because if they did they would have to be responsible to him. Carl Sagan was a famous thinker and well thought of, bu that does not in any way make what he thought or said to be the truth. There are many people who think as he did and that still does not make him correct. I believe these kind of people have no wisdom nor faith except in themselves and there own opinions They are the blind leading the blind.
