Does anyone have or has had what I am about to explain.....(serious answers pls.)?

I can be asleep and for no reason wake up "wham"....and it is an abrupt waking up....and I am thinking I need to take my medicine....what medicine? (I usually have always taken my medicine...diabetic..) but I get up to check. It is horrible for anyone around me because I scare anybody the way I jump up from a dead sleep without rhyme or reason. Thinking back I believe this all began when my mom was sick prior to her death. Ok.....I have dealt with some pretty hard knocks in life, and lots of deaths...I am a christian and do not fear death, I am accepted cirstances of my life and no it is no where what I ever expected. I am basically a got it together individual, but this has gotten worse in the past couple years and I just don't have the money to see a shrink....In fact until tonight it never crossed my mind if I might have like a post tramatic syndrome of some kind......anybody know or what do you think?
