New beige - hooded rat ....?

I just got a beige - hooded rat for my birthday. My sister got one from the same litter, and it is an albino. They are 4 month old females that live together in the same cage, and they sleep together and seem perfectly fine. It's our second day with them, and whenever I hold mine she gets particularly squirmy and hard to handle. I have experience with them because I've had hamsters, but what are some tips for getting used to my new ratty + getting her to trust me?
